* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)

What the members think!

Emmiesmummy

Its like having a set of great mates who are always on hand to help with problems give support or just have a good natter too. Being a stay at home mum can sometimes feel lonely & asking your hv for help all the time on feeding makes you feel your doing something wrong & it becomes easier to give up....not anymore everyone here is always ready to offer advice or lend an ear if you need a chat. Its my daily lifesaver.....

I can't recommend this website enough. The support from the other girls is wonderful and there is always someone to help - no matter how big or small the problem. Even if I just feel a bit fed up or lonely there is always someone to talk to and my days are alot better knowing I can come on breast buddies and speak to someone if I need to.
Can't thank you enough ladies, you're a wonderful bunch!!

I am pregnant with my 3rd child and only managed to breastfeed my last 2 for a few days - mainly down to a lack of knowledge and support.
I have joined this forum during pregnancy to get as much advice and support as possible so I can give breast feeding a proper go this time - and i've learnt so much already, and understand why I struggled so much previously.
Thankyou to you all - I know I will get through it this time with the support from all of you!

I am so glad I got told about this forum! I had absolutely nobody to talk about breastfeeding to at all! I seemed to be the only one breastfeeding at my local baby clinic and there are no support groups in my area!  All the girls here are so friendly and certainly know their stuff when it comes to breastfeeding! If I ever have a problem or question I know I don't have to worry as there will always be someone here to offer great advice! Thanks ladies!

If it wasnt for this forum and the support from the girls here i would have given up breastfeeding weeks ago, all the girls have helped me overcome numerous problems I've encountered along the way, the support has been great, keep up the work girls, and a huge thank you to each and everyone one of you!

Nursing in public as baby gets older
Thu Feb 04, 2010 10:16 pm by kaygeebee
I've been out and about the last couple of days, and as a result feeding in cafes etc. For the first time, I've started to feel a bit uncomfortable about nursing in public - and I'm wondering if it's because I'm not nursing a 'newborn' any more. Owen is more prone to pulling back, unlatching hmself and exposing me these days, but I don't think it's that that's making me uncomfortable as I can pretty much whip a muslin in place or hold him so as I don't get exposed - I'm noticing other people's reactions aren't the same any more.

I bought my book after reading about it on here, and was very excited to get reading, finally a book about mothers' stories. I'm aware some of you have taken part, I wondered if anyone else has bought/received a copy and read it yet?

Peek a boo with a twist
Sat Jan 23, 2010 6:35 pm by Jacquline
Hi everyone, I am a newbie 2 ur site.

Kyle, my LB, is 4 Months old now. He recently started playing peek a boob as I like 2 call it. He will drink and when he is full he will let go of my nipple and smile at me then he quickly grabs the nipple and sucks once and let go again smiling at me (kinda hurts as he is yanking the nipple when he lets go). He repeats this 5 -9 times before I put him on the other breast, when he's finished with that one he plays peek a boob again. Me and my husband Laugh ourselves silly when he does this and...

Haiti
Wed Jan 20, 2010 3:13 pm by Squiglet
With the news that NESTLE were planning on getting their greedy little mitts on to the baby population of Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake...there were some real concerns about the plight of babies there. The worry was that Nestle would encourage mothers to move over to their milk. With absolutely no water available and a majority of the Haitian population living under bedsheets in a field, there is absolutely no sanitation either, the introduction of formula milk would be another horrific death toll waiting to happen. Because formula in these situations kills and is deadly... But I wa...

Breatfeeding Support In My Local Area
Fri Dec 11, 2009 5:39 pm by ♥poppysmummy♥
Hi everyone, my name is Chloe I had a beautiful baby girl 8weeks ago and really enjoying breastfeeding (apart from the inital pains) I was wondering if there was anyone else from the Birmingham area who could guide me on the best places for support and if anyone knows of any handy places for breastfeeding, a few times now I have been caught out with people being a bit funny and would be most grateful if there are any local ladies xx

My amazing breast's
Sat Jan 09, 2010 1:57 pm by rhi'smummy
Amazing because they respond so quickly. My milk has started to come back now being 7 months pregnant, but when, out of curiosity I've tried to express some, nothing has come out. This week though Rhianna has been poorly, she's got chicken pox, although its only really today and yesterday she's been off her food and been having extra mummy milk. But she's just fallen asleep with mummy milk and as I looked down I noticed milk still seeping out. So in 2 days my body has gone from having milk but not lots, to having an abundance, even though I'm still pregnant and dont yet have my newborn. It sti...
