If it wasnt for this forum and the support from the girls here i would have given up breastfeeding weeks ago, all the girls have helped me overcome numerous problems I've encountered along the way, the support has been great, keep up the work girls, and a huge thank you to each and everyone one of you!
kay I am pregnant with my 3rd child and only managed to breastfeed my last 2 for a few days - mainly down to a lack of knowledge and support. I have joined this forum during pregnancy to get as much advice and support as possible so I can give breast feeding a proper go this time - and i've learnt so much already, and understand why I struggled so much previously. Thankyou to you all - I know I will get through it this time with the support from all of you!

whether youre a first time breastfeeder or not we all need support from time to time, this is the best site around, full of like minded girls for serious support or just a friendly chat!
rhi'smummy There always seems to be someone here with suggestions on how to solve problems or just make life a bit easier. Chat nights are fun too. Mary
ldnug Discovering Breastbuddies has been great - as a breastfeeding mum you can feel so isolated but here you are among friends and like minded people!
Thanks girllies Emma C when i got told i was a bit wary at first, but coming on changed my aspect of what people are like, last night i got some great advice about my sleepy son and its great to hear from so many breastfeeding mums together
Jools I am so glad I got told about this forum! I had absolutely nobody to talk about breastfeeding to at all! I seemed to be the only one breastfeeding at my local baby clinic and there are no support groups in my area! All the girls here are so friendly and certainly know their stuff when it comes to breastfeeding! If I ever have a problem or question I know I don't have to worry as there will always be someone here to offer great advice! Thanks ladies!

| | on and off and switching sides all the time! | Thu May 15, 2008 9:17 am by morgan | hi everyone. i'm feeling rather frustrated and fed up at the mo because my 7 1/2 month old has been doing this thing of going on and off the breast repeatedly, for some weeks. I switch sides because i can see he is still hungry, he latches on eagerly, then comes off either crying or fussing again. then i switch sides again because i cannot get him to re-latch on to the same breast - he will just keep fussing/fighting it. this can happen up to 10 times!
He isnt ill in any obvious way that i can see. he is easily distracted bc of everything around him but it happens even at night...

| Getting seriously annoyed now! | Thu May 22, 2008 11:52 am by kay | OK, bear with this post - its goes in a few different directions!
1st, on a positive note, Corey put 1lb on in 2 weeks wahoo!
Right.
been to clinic - and it's bint of HV again.
They take 2 in at a time - so i was able to hear the lady before me talking (which i dont agree with to start). She is BF son - same age as Corey - he has just reached 12 lb. he has put on an ounce in a week, and an ounce week before.
HV immediatley said ' you have to give him formula as a top up - hes not gaining weight quick enough'. Mummy asked why, was it...

| Clothes??? | Mon May 19, 2008 10:08 pm by gem1981 | I was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere that sells nursing clothes at a reasonable price? I've got a couple of vest tops from mothercare that I end up pulling down anyway, and a top from vertbaudet but it obviously a breastfeeding top. I've got circles where my boobs are.
I know I could just pull my top up but I'm embarrased about my jelly belly so wouldn't want anyone seeing that!!
Any recommendations?

| First Bracelet | Wed May 21, 2008 12:31 am by SarahW | Got my first bf bracelets today in post ordered them from ebay. 2 for 99p plus postage. Its great helped me to remeber which side next all day as kept forgetting before now. You can choose the colours you prefer and are only small beads so not ugly looking, if you know what i mean. Really pleased with them. Think i might treat myself to some more in different colours so got one to match what ever i wear.

| big boobs and little boobs | Sun May 18, 2008 8:18 pm by Kaelsmom | OK...I know that the size of the boob does not determine whether or not you will make enough milk to feed your baby, but I really wonder something, especially based on what I see around me.
I have tiny boobs. My lovely little brother used to call them mosquito bites. Even now while they are bigger than they have ever been in my life, I am barely filling an A cup. I have breastfed all of my kids and I believe they have been satisfied. But, I will say, that I don't think I have as much storage space in my boobs for milk. Here's why I think this:
1) My kids n...

| Baby cafe | Sun May 18, 2008 5:24 pm by gem1981 | Hi ladies
I'm going to my local baby cafe group tomorrow!! I normally get scared going to things like that, but I'm really looking forward to it. I just want to get more confident at Since day 1 the midwife said I just needed more confidence. I know I must be doing something right because Daisy's gaining weight really well. I still have pain when feeding though, in my left boob. My right has always seemed better than the left. So hopefully if I'm doing something wrong they can help me with it.
I ended up buying a mei tai sling off ebay and went out in it today. D...

| Bathtime | Thu May 15, 2008 2:50 pm by SarahW | Done something different today, took the kids to school and was just about to get mollie out of pram she looked lovely a gorgeous cotton summer dress was guna show her off a bit but OMG she'd done one of her explosive pooh's come on ladies you know what i mean, it was right up her back and had gone all the way through her nappy, vest and dress.
Anyway when i got home i decided we'd get in bath together instead of me bathing her in baby bath, it was lovely. The experience was even nicer when she decided she wanted to feed while in the bath. So we laid in the bath gazing into each others e...
