Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

default i'm new!

Post by Helen on Sun Dec 30, 2007 5:48 pm

my baby girl was born 11th december and have been exclusively breatfeeding from then onwards! she fed for for a full hour a couple of hours after being born which i was so poud of her! after a few days i thought i wouldnt last much longer cos my nipples were so sore and the midwifes kept saying my attachment was right even though i was convinced it wasnt!and she suckled all night without a break for so many nights i was worn out! All my friends who bottle feed kept saying oh i'll give you another couple of days and you'll be givin her bottles. Well i no its only been 2 week 5days but i'm so proud and happy i stuck with it! Its got so much better and easier and i'm looking forward to many months to come!

👋 and :wlp: to breastbuddies!!!!
Congratulations on a a great start to breastfeeding - you have got through the hardest part already (so all the girls on here say!)
I am due soon, and hope i can get off to a good a start as you have cheers

Ignore what people are saying to you - it is that sort of pressure and comments that didnt help me with my last 2, and i only fed for a couple of days and resorted to bottles. Im determined to feed successfully this time, through determination and the support from here.

Carry on as long as you and your baby want to, and enjoy! flower
