Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

It really upsets me reading some of the negative comments...people can be so ignorant...like a mother could force her child to keep breastfeeding. Evie is 16 months and is so insistant when she wants to feed, even if I wanted to, which I don't at all, there is no way I could stop her!
Why are people so nasty????

I think for an article in the Mail that was halfway decent, but why-oh-why did I go on to read some of the comments It makes my blood boil that western culture is so opposed to long term breast feeding. I've always known I'd BF up until at least 2 years, but never had a clue as to how I'd go about weaning. Now I know, I'll follow Kacie's lead Of course she may give it up sooner and I think if that's before 2 I'll be sad, but I'll happily feed her as long as necessary, though I sadly doubt that will be out in public if she's still nursing at 4+.
I feel the more I hear about long term benefits of nursing an older child the more determind I am that Kacie will BF for a very long time yet

Tell us about yourself : I'm a SAHM to Kacie aged 10.5 months. I'm very into an AP way of life, baby-wearing, co-sleeping, breastfeeding, etc. We're coming up to one year and I'm looking for places where I won't be looked down on for extended breastfeeding. I have no intention of weaning until Kacie wants to. We're also traying to conceive baby no. 2, so really hoping to tandam feed and will be looking for support to do this too.
