Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

default Leaky boobs!

Post by Rachel on Tue Apr 07, 2009 5:37 pm

Does anyone else have very leaky boobs??? I feel like a dripping tap...especially on the left side. I've been through 4 breastpads today!

What does it mean??? scratch

Also...are disposable breastpads as bad as disposable nappies to decompose? What good I am doing in using cloth nappies I'm undoing in going through tons of breastpads. Does anyone know of very absorbant washable ones? Have tried the avent ones in the past but they were not absorbant enough and moved around too much :iconsad:

My boobs used to leak quite a bit & i used tommee tipee & they never let me down. On the non disposable type im not sure which ones are good im afraid but i do know you can buy a silicone 'cover' you wear it all day and its shaped soo that it contours your breast in a way thats supposed to prevent you leaking.......they are called lilypadz i think.
Im sure others on here hve used washables so are bound to offer some advice.

Means you're very lucky Smile I never had a surplus of milk, never leaked unless it was during feeding and only after lil miss got things going... Sad If you produce a lot, start collecting it and storing it for later use... always handy Smile breast shells are good for this or you could try pumping before feeding or during Smile
