Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

default a question about my milk after my operation

Post by Helen on Fri Jan 02, 2009 4:11 pm

As you no i had my operation tuesday. My tummy is still really sore so my mum is having bethany for a few more days. I have been expressing at the times that bethany feeds and am just wandering what to do with the milk because of the medication i'm on - should i store it or chuck it?!

The medication i'm on is:

Paracetamol
Diclofenac (Kelly mom says L2 - safer) Today is the last day i have to take this though.
Codeine (Kelly mom says L3 - moderately safe)

thanks in advance :aww:

I wouldn't like to say. I'm sure one of our experts can help. Just wanted to send Hugs hun :aww:

I think i'd proberly freeze it but only use it if i had to. I'd mark it as M for when you were having medication.
