Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

topic 8 Yay! some good news!

Post by kay on Fri Oct 24, 2008 10:22 am

Corey had his 8 month check today - he is all hunky dorey! cheers

Anyway, it was my old HV who i like, but havent seen cos shes been off. We were talking about bf etc, and she asked me about weaning, and i said i was BLW (i always say it a little warily to them) and she was over the moon! She loves BLW and does antenatal talks on it, but has trouble getting mums not to give in to the 'baby rise at 16 wks'.
She asked if me and Corey would go along to some talks with her, so i could give a 'successful' mums point - and see how healthy corey is.
I said I would also be interested in helping set up a bf clinic/coffee morning in the town or village,as our nearest is 5 miles away. She is over the moon and we are going to get together.
She also said she has a mum struggling to bf, and a chat with me might help.

Im really excited! bliss
