Amazing because they respond so quickly. My milk has started to come back now being 7 months pregnant, but when, out of curiosity I've tried to express some, nothing has come out. This week though Rhianna has been poorly, she's got chicken pox, although its only really today and yesterday she's been off her food and been having extra mummy milk. But she's just fallen asleep with mummy milk and as I looked down I noticed milk still seeping out. So in 2 days my body has gone from having milk but not lots, to having an abundance, even though I'm still pregnant and dont yet have my newborn. It still amazes me how quickly it all happens

You start producing colustrum at 17 weeks! However if your bfing anyway the milk changes to colustrum at that time... our bodies are amazing!


Just had to use this emoticon because it is just so cute! But I have noticed a couple are missing... the nurse and run ones... I liked those!

I always thought colostrum was supposed to be bright yellow, but what I'm producing is more clear. I dont remember it being yellow when I had to pump it for Rhianna in the very first days when she wouldn't latch on either. All I remember was managing to squeeze out a few very tiny droplets and the midwife had come back after about ½ an hour of me pumping and looking at me like a failure. I'm definatley going to pack a pipette this time just in case.
