I know people in the UK must disbelieve me when I say that I have been offered formula samples as a breastfeeding mother...but now I have evidence to prove that its very common here... http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2497242&l=7b52e3bccf&id=683822524This is a free formula sample attached to a famous baby magazine here in Spain. Oh yes.... well done Spain on your promotion of breastfeeding over formula!!!! ***********************************************

Ive seen it in Asda during their 'baby events' - it is usually SMA progress i have seen - i told him to stick it up his hoop when he offered me one! If i remember right, i think they can promote / advertise / use speciaol offers on the follow on milks (6 months plus) but not the others. But i may be wrong.

Kay you are correct. It is illegal to promote First stage milks, but not follow on milks. But because the packaging is so similar they might as well be promoting first milk. :icondoh: It is allowed because the UK, like many countries have failed to sign up fully to the WHO code on formula promotion, and we haven't signed up at all to "Rights of the Child" which bans any form of formula marketing. *********************************************** I love breastfeeding, cloth nappies and BLW!!
