Breastfeeding on holiday

Hi, i go on holiday on Tuesday to Spain, do i need to give lo water or will she be ok with just breast milk?

Any other tips are more than welcome.

There is no need to give water. You may find that she will want to have the boob more and will perhaps snack if she is thristy but giving water can affect your milk supply

It can be dangerous to give water to a young baby.
Just give boob, boob, and more boob!

I read somewhere that your milk consistency changes in different temperatures to suit the needs of your baby so just need to give boob

The foremilk is a wonderful watery drink for her so she may want lots of short feeds to quench her thirst.

shes fine on boob ... Smile

I'm in Spain and its DAM hot out here right now... I mean seriously hot... I've not needed to give lil miss water until just recently and that was because lil miss got a urine infection and the doctor told us she needed lots of fluids to flush her kidneys... but now shes better shes back to drinking boob milk mostly... You will find she wakes in the night to have a drink and that she will feed more often in short bursts. But other than that she will be fine... just remember sunscreen..

Where abouts in Spain are you going too? I'm near Alicante.

Make sure you drink plenty of water though. If it is hot you will need even more than you do normally.
